When it comes to flooring, we really do have you and your floors covered. Not only do we specialize in wall-to-wall carpet and hard surface flooring, but we also specialize in baseboards and baseboard installation.

A baseboard is a wooden or vinyl board covering the lowest part of an interior wall. A baseboard’s purpose is to cover the point where the wall surface meets the floor. It helps cover up the uneven edge of the flooring next to the wall, protects the wall from nicks and abrasions, and even serves as a decorative molding.

Used in conjunction with baseboards, we also offer both quarter round and shoe molding.

Quarter Round

Quarter round is precisely 1/4 of a round dowel. It also has a 90° angel on the backside, with a perfect quarter radius on the showing side. Quarter round is perfect for filling corners or softening any 90° joint between trim and moldings. Quarter round also comes in a wide variety of sizes.

Shoe Molding

While very similar to quarter round, and often interchangeable, shoe molding is different from quarter round. While shoe molding has the same 90° angle on the backside as quarter round does, its profile is a bit shorter. Shoe molding is mainly used to run along the intersection of where the baseboard meets the floor. Also, since shoe molding is so flexible, it allows us to hide uneven floor levels really easily.
